The Early Years

1985-1995

Growing up in the city of Pittsburgh allowed Marlene many opportunities to study art. In elementary school, Marlene attended Saturday classes at the Carnegie Museum of Art where she truly learned what being an artist meant.

In 6th grade she submitted a portfolio and was accepted to Rogers Middle School for the Creative and Performing Arts. Marlene attended high school at C.A.P.A (The Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts).

Marlene’s family moved to the suburbs of Pittsburgh in 1994, she finished her senior year at Upper Saint Clair High School.
